Preparing to enter its 64th season, the Chorus pro Musica has built a superb reputation as one of the great choruses of New England. Known for innovative programming and high quality performances, Chorus pro Musica has collaborated with such famed organizations as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic, the Boston Ballet, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Recently, CpM has sung at Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. From time to time the chorus will admit qualified singers during the season. For details, see our auditions page.


Summer Sings

Join us for Chorus pro Musica's
2012 Summer Sings

The oldest Summer Sing program in Boston,
led by Chorus pro Musica's Music Director, Betsy Burleigh!

Monday nights in August, 7:30–10:00 pm
Old South Church, 645 Boylston Street, Copley Square, Boston

Air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible

Doors open at 7 pm. Spend the first half of the evening rehearsing, then after a break experience the exhilaration of performing as our conductor leads a complete run-through, with soloists and piano accompaniment.

Performed June 2, 2012 at NEC's Jordan Hall with the Boston Philharmonic; Mary Wilson, soprano; Zachary Wilder, tenor; and Paul Guttry, bass. Featuring videographic projections by Joss Sessions.


Benjamin Britten: War Requiem
Performed March 3 (Boston) and March 4 (Providence) under the direction of Richard Pittman with the Providence Singers, the Boston Children's Chorus, and the New England Philharmonic.

CpM's performance in the US premiere of this work on July 27, 1963 with the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood is on a commercially-available DVD.
